WHY GOOD FRIDAY?

One of the best day or rather, one of the most sgnificant day in God’s calender is seen His son incanated and fulfil the requirement of redeeming mankind from Sin. Jesus testifying to this said: Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Like every milestone project, it takes time and then one day it becomes a reality after those months or years. When the late president Kenndey, conceived of the idea of America landing a man on the moon it was like a mirage to many and then boom! it became a reality after years. So too, the plan of God to bring the fallen human race back to himself was in the making after the fall from Glory in that Garden, but it never came to fruition till the appointed time; Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. it stated with the birth. Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then later he was introduce by his forerunner, john the baptist thus:John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Then he started telling men preaching, doing good and healing see Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. These were just steps to the work of redemption that was to come. He suffered, maltreated, despised, lie against, was persecuted, misunderstood, arrested. Jesus had to go through these difficulties so that men today, may understand that Jesus knew all about suffering and injustice, maltreatment and persecution so when you go through, have the faith to tell him in prayers because he was once there and can relate to it. Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Now the great plan of God to rescue mankind was all required at the cross; the place of shame, pain, suffering, denial and death. The first part was the death and the second part resurrection. Because the wages of sin is death, if you sin then you must die. that is how the wolrd works; an eternal separation from your creator, but that is a choice you makeeither you have life or not. The price was to be the blood for there is life in the blood and the blood that can wash away another sinful acts must be pure otherwise it is in vain for an impure blood can not takes away impurities fro another blood. Jesus met this requirement of the only blood that has the power and efficacy to clean and remove sin. Just like bleach is required to remove stubborn stains, bar soap to wash the body so too must a pure blood spilled, slain to pay for sins. If jesus did not die then can our sins not be forgiven. Satan was late in knowing this was Gods mission through his son and despertely tried to stop it Matthew 16:21-23 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Hebrews 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.[ So peter was being used ignorantly by the enemy of our salvation, satan]. When he carried the sins of the world in that cross God the father, saw him as sin, he became sin personified, God forsook him there for God can not compromise with sin and trangression. Then he cried out this important cry: Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? But thank God for the last wordof Jesus that defeated satan and showed that his ultimate sacrifice was accepted by God . see John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

The price required was paid there and then and found worthy by God the father and acceptable.

Have a joyful Easter!
